Assembly Building would be laid on 14 January 2013 at Gairsen.


Almora/ Dehradun:(Page3 News Network)-Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna said that to ensure comprehensive development of hill region, not only the Assembly Building would be established at Gairsen but also other basic infrastructure developed.
Interacting with the media persons at Circuit House, Almora, on Wednesday, Mr. Bahuguna said that concrete decisions were being taken to check migration and eradicate backwardness of hill region. He revealed that administrative officers had been directed to take suggestions from MLAs in development works. Besides, he said they had been asked to ensure quality in works. "Sufficient budget provision has been made for the development of basic infrastructure in the State," he said. Disclosing that the MLAs had complaint about the commission being sought for works to be undertaken under MLA fund he asserted "Any such complaints will be taken on serious note and stringent action taken against the person if the complaint is proved against him," he exhorted.
Mr. Bahuguna stating that several posts were lying vacant in various departments said that very soon the process would be initiated to fill them. He said that the Chief Secretary was continuously reviewing the works of District Plan and Centrally Aided projects to ensure timely utilization of the funds allocated. "I am also personally reviewing the works of different districts," he said.
Responding to the demand of Press Colony and drafting of a policy for it by media persons, Mr. Bahuguna said that necessary action would be taken after obtaining suggestions from press representatives and related departmental officers. He said that Foundation Stone of Assembly Building would be laid on 14 January 2013 at Gairsen. He said that concrete decisions would be taken to fill up the vacant posts in Almora Base hospital and District Hospital. Besides, he said all necessary medical equipments would also be purchased for these hospitals. Mr. Bahuguna said that fund has been sanctioned for Koshi Barage to address water problem in Almora and for establishment of medical college. Also present in the press conference were MLAs Maonj Tiwari, Madan Bisht and Hemesh Khrakwal.
