The Tableau artists and Tribal guests who participated in Republic Day parade this year called on the Vice President of India Shri M. Hamid Ansari here today.
They presented a colourful display of folk dances of the different parts of India at the lawns of Vice President House.
The Vice President and Smt. Salma Ansari interacted with these artists groups to encourage their morale and applauded them for their creative presentations.
These artists from Arunachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Chhatisgarh, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Chandigarh performed their special dances on the occasion.
Also with them the staff of Ministry of Railways, Agriculture, Earth Sciences, Tribal Affairs, CPWD accompanied by Army personnel at RR Camp, Ministry of Defence officials and the Tractor Drivers who also took part in this year’s Republic Day parade also called on the Vice President.
