Science and environment were supplement to each other. He said that balance between economical development and environment was must for incessant development.
Chief Minister Bahuguna speaking in his inaugural address of 7th Uttarakhand State Science and Technology Congress at Graphic Era on Wednesday said that Uttarakhand had great potential in various sectors and it depended on science and technology to decide how natural resources could be utilized for development without harming environment. Mr. Bahuguna observed that climate was an important factor in Uttarakhand. The glaciers and rivers located here had an impact on climate of the entire world. He laid emphasis on giving more attention to research and development. The State Government was keen to promote scientific education, he said.
Earlier, Chief Minister also inaugurated underground subway at Graphic Era. Also present on the occasion were Science and technology Minister Surendra Singha Negi, Planning Minister Dinesh Agarwal, Chairman Graphic Era Kamal Ghansala, Dr. Rajendra Dobhal, Shailesh Naik, Dr. Manju Sharma and OSD to CM Anand Bahuguna.
