New Delhi:(Page3 News Network)-The Ministry of Tribal Affairs implements various Central Sector/Centrally Sponsored Schemes for the socio-economic development of tribal people in the country including two Special Area programmes viz., (i) Grants under Article 275(1) of the Constitution and (ii) Special Central Assistance to Tribal Sub-Plan with allocation decided by the Planning Commission on annual basis. This is an additive to the States Tribal Sub-Plan. The proposals submitted by the State/UT Government under the schemes/programmes of this Ministry are considered by this Ministry in accordance with guidelines under the respective scheme. Funds are released to the State/UT Governments concerned when their proposals fulfill the eligible conditions of the relevant schemes, subject to availability of funds and utilization of previously released funds. Receipt and sanction of the proposals from the State/UT Governments under the various schemes/programmes of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs is an on-going process.
